Hello, I’ll try to explain why this error appears.

The first time I run the Minecraft server, I did it on a 1.25 GHz MacMini with 512 MB of memory and continually appears that message. The meaning of the message is that our computer can not support the workload gives Minecraft server, causing the CPU is at 100% load.

The message is posible to not appear at first, but can occur when connect to server multiple users making the server work harder. When more users are connected, the computer have more load.

Like me, is possible that your computer can not support the workload when multiple users are connected. In the screencast I made a while ago, don’t appear this error because it runs on a i5 iMac with 4GB of memory.

Minecraft creators are now focused on developing the game, not the server. Hopefully when come out of the Beta, they will focus more on the server. Also I have to say that Minecraft is developed with JAVA, and apps made with this language are heavy.

Hola, he descargado el Servidor de Minecraft pero después de ejecutarlo me sale este mensaje:

No se cual es el problema y que puedo hacer.

Hola, intentare explicar por que te aparece el mensaje.

La primera vez que ejecute el servidor de Minecraft lo hice en un MacMini 1,25Ghz y 512 MB de memoria y me salía continuamente ese mensaje. Lo que nos dice es que nuestro ordenador no es capaz de soportar la carga de trabajo que le da el servidor de Minecraft, causando que el procesador este al 100% de trabajo.

Puede que el error no salga al principio sino que puede aparecer cuando nos conectemos a el varios usuarios haciendo que el servidor trabaje mas. Cuando mas usuarios estén conectados mas trabajo tiene que hacer el ordenador.

Como a mi, es posible que tu ordenador so soporte la carga de trabajo cuando se conecten varios usuarios. En el videotutorial que puse hace un tiempo no aparece este error, ya que se ejecuta en un iMac i5 con 4GB de memoria.

Los creadores de Minecraft ahora están centrados en el desarrollo del juego, no en el servidor. Espero que cuando salga de la Beta se centraran mas en el servidor. También tengo que decir que el lenguaje en el que esta programado Minecraft es JAVA y las aplicaciones escritas con este lenguaje suelen ser bastante pesadas a la hora de ejecutar.

Algún día me haré con una de segunda mano y me viciare al tetris asta dejarme las retinas.

when i click on config files it says it cant be opened because the orignal item can't be found,what does that mean?

Question about Minecraft Server.

Download the application again, It was my mistake. I fix it creating a symbolic link from the terminal (ln -s) instead of a shortcut. If still not working let me know.

Cuando hago doble click en “config files” me dice que no puede encontrar la carpeta original. Que puedo hacer?

Vuelve a descargar otra vez la aplicación. Fue un error mío. Lo arregle creando un enlace simbólico por la terminal (ln -s) en vez de un acceso directo. Si sigue sin funcionar házmelo saber.

Si quieres montar un servidor de Minecraft en tu mac pero no quieres estar andando con la terminal, con este aplicación te será mas fácil.

En si lo que he echo es utilizar el “empaquetador de archivos JAR” que podemos encontrar en /usr/share/java/Tools/ de nuestro Mac y empaquetar el “minecraft_server.jar” con las opciones necesarias.

Al ejecutar el servidor automáticamente genera un “mundo” que se guardara dentro de la misma aplicación junto a los archivos de configuración. De esta manera obtenemos un servidor portable, pudiendo copiarlo y ejecutarlo en otro mac.

Para poder editar la configuración, tienes que hacer botón derecho en la aplicación y después en “Mostrar contenido del paquete” y podréis ver la carpeta “Config Files”. Justo dentro de esta carpeta podréis encontrar los archivos de configuración junto a los logs etc.

I use the “Jar Bundler” that can found in /usr/share/java/Tools/ on our Macs, to make this app with the original “minecraft_server.jar” inside, with the necessary options.

When you run the server, automatically generates a “world” that is stored within the same application with configuration files. You can move or copy the App to another mac to run the same server.

To edit the settings, you have to right click on the application and then “Show Package Contents”. Then you can see the folder “Config Files” and inside all configure files.
